About Jeremy Gillick
Hello. I'm a software engineer who lives in San Jose, California (USA) and works full time for Yahoo! in the Yahoo! Toolbar team. Generally work keeps me pretty busy, but I still find some free time here and there to create and maintain Mozilla extensions and respond to many of the Mozilla users who email me.
In 1996 I began developing my first website on GeoCities. As time went on I got more and more excited about internet and technology and started offering my services to friends and a few clients. Over the years I have expanded my technical abilities to developing websites, web applications and software.
In early 2004 I decided to check out Firefox, because I had heard that its extensions made it very useful for Web Development work. I was quickly a Firefox convert and started to spread the word. Soon I realized it would be cool to have an extension that would allow me to switch between multiple web proxies quickly and easily. So I took it upon myself to learn how to build Mozilla extensions in XUL, and so the SwitchProxy Tool was born. Since then I've continued to create extensions for Firefox, Mozilla and Thunderbird.
